Indomina Releasing Acquires FIRE OF CONSCIENCE
AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - September 30, 2010) - Indomina Releasing, a new distributor of feature films, acquired the US rights to FIRE OF CONSCIENCE at the 6th Annual Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. The film, starring Leon Lai (Bodyguards and Assassins, Seven Swords) and Richie Ren (Exiled), was written and directed by Dante Lam and produced by Lam and Candy Leung. The deal was announced today by Jasbinder Singh Mann, CEO of Indomina Group, overseeing global operations.
"FIRE OF CONSCIENCE is a high octane action thriller that will keep audiences at the edge of their seats," said Singh Mann. "Dante Lam is an amazing writer/director, who pushes Asian cinema to new limits."
The deal was negotiated by Indomina Releasing's Vice President of Acquisitions, Rob Williams, and Head of Business and Legal Affairs, Toby Midgen, with Media Asia Films' Assistant General Manager, Fred Tsui, the copyright owner of the film.
"We are very much impressed by the enthusiasm and expertise of Indomina," said Tsui. "We are convinced that this young company will reinvigorate and breathe new life to the distribution of Asian films in North America."
Caught in the line of fire between high levels of corruption and malice, Captain Manfred (Leon Lai) must solve a brutal murder to prove his partner's innocence and unearth the truth behind Hong Kong's police force. The investigation brings him to an unlikely collaboration with sly, man-of-the-world Inspector Kee (Richie Ren) from the Narcotics Bureau, whose motives are not what they seem.
